Welcome to the beta version of Channelville, a digital platform that brings your personal events to you directly via live, on-demand broadcasts -- no matter where you or the event are physically located.
Imagine being stuck at work during your child, grandchild, or nephew’s big game or school play. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to watch it live, or -- barring that -- have it recorded for playback later?
Or, maybe you want to virtually experience someone else’s culture or historical landmarks. Well, our goal is to make that happen as well.
If you were ever lucky enough to see a broadcast of your child’s big game on the local cable station, chances are, it wasn’t live. And it certainly wasn’t available anywhere except in your region. And if you wanted a copy of it for later, good luck.
Channelville will fix that too.
And while this current beta version doesn’t have close to the full functionality of our upcoming iPhone/Android mobile app, in the interim, we’ll be running some beta broadcasts for a few lucky Ottawa-area events.
Our plan is to conduct a few test broadcasts in the Ottawa area to help refine the solution and learn from our experiences.
If you have an event in the Ottawa area you desperately need broadcast, contact us and we’ll see what we can do. Or even if you’re not in the Ottawa area, feel free to contact us -- your location just might be our next stop.
On another note, maybe you’d like to be a potential broadcaster for Channelville and are interested in making some money working a side gig.
We’ll offer many opportunities for potential broadcasters, and won’t require our workers to have to buy, rent, or learn how to use advanced camera equipment. All you need is a smartphone with wifi access or a data plan.
If you’re interested in making money by attending various community events, we’d like to hear from you.
Can’t wait to hear more about Channelville? Simply sign up for our updates, and we’ll make sure you’re in the loop.
We have more tricks up our sleeves on the way, but you’ll need to stay tuned.
As the saying goes, “good things come to those who wait.” In this case, great things will come to those on Channelville’s update list.
